The White House

The White House in Eyke, Suffolk, is a full conversion of an existing chalet bungalow into a spacious six-bedroom family home. James Howell Designs prepared the complete design package for the project, from initial concept through to detailed construction drawings, giving the client a scheme that is ready to build as soon as planning approval is received.

The design reworks the existing footprint and roofline to make room for six well-proportioned bedrooms, reconfiguring the layout to bring in more natural light and a stronger connection between the living spaces and the garden. Careful attention was paid to how the enlarged home sits within its rural Suffolk setting, balancing a significant increase in accommodation with a form that remains sympathetic to the surrounding streetscape.

As with all of our conversion projects, the package covers everything the client needs to move from planning to site: full architectural drawings, internal layouts, and specification detail, allowing the build to begin without delay once consent is granted.
